1. The Agreement
By accessing Career Gauge (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. This is a legally binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms for that organization.
2. The "Decision Engine" & AI Nature
Career Gauge is an AI-augmented decision support tool. You acknowledge and agree to the following technical constraints:
- Probabilistic Outputs: AI-generated Decision Briefs, Resume Audits, and Strategy Playbooks are probabilistic. They are not absolute facts.
- Not Professional Advice: The Service does not provide legal, financial, or certified career counseling. All outputs should be verified by a human professional.
- No Employment Guarantee: Use of the Service does not guarantee job offers, interviews, or salary increases. We provide the evidence; the outcome depends on market variables beyond our control.
3. Engine Capacity & Billing
The Service operates on a Capacity Unit (CU) model.
- Monthly Allowance: Subscription tiers include a set amount of CUs that reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly units do not "roll over" unless explicitly stated.
- Auxiliary Tanks (Top-ups): CUs purchased as one-time "Top-ups" do not expire and will remain in your account until consumed.
- Refunds: Due to the immediate compute costs incurred from our AI providers, all CU purchases and subscription fees are non-refundable once units have been consumed.
4. Ownership of Content
Your Data: You retain full ownership of any resumes, job descriptions, or personal data you upload.
Our Analysis: Career Gauge owns the specific "Decision Brief" structure, the underlying agent logic, and the proprietary "Strategic Playbook" format. We grant you a non-exclusive license to use these artifacts for your personal career advancement.
5. Acceptable Use & Constraints
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading credentials.
- Bypass our Capacity Unit system through unauthorized automation or "scraping."
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the "Agent System" or prompt architecture.
- Input data that violates third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Career Gauge SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY ERRORS OR INACCURACIES IN AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
7. Cancellation, Deletion, and Termination
User-Initiated Cancellation: You may delete your account at any time via the Settings dashboard. Initiating an account deletion will result in the immediate cancellation of any active subscriptions.
Data Purge Policy: Upon account deletion, all personal data, uploaded resumes, and generated artifacts (such as Decision Briefs and Strategy Playbooks) are permanently and irreversibly destroyed from our active databases and file storage.
Forfeiture of Compute: Account deletion results in the immediate forfeiture of all remaining Capacity Units (both monthly allowances and Auxiliary Tanks). No pro-rated refunds will be issued for unused compute capacity or partial subscription months.
Service Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties.
